Hello everyone,
I have an old bottle of Port, but im not familiar with it. It has been stored in a cold and dark place, the condition is great. Labels and everything are still in good shape. Does anyone know more about this beautiful bottle? If you need more information, please let me know! I added some pictures of the bottle.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Does anyone know this Port?
I’ve had this from one of those weird bottles (they also released it later in regular bottles of which I’ve had more than i can recall)
It’s a white tawny port from 1952. That’s an old bottling and when I last it from that early bottling it, which was maybe 15 yrs ago, it was getting rather tired from being in bottle so long. It’s still should be good but it won’t be as good as the bottlings from 2006 and newer (well except the newest bottlings in 500ml aren’t nearly as good and should be avoided IMO).
Open and enjoy with friends.

Thanks for your reaction! I do like Port, but im not a fanatic so to say. Do you think there is any interest in bottles like this on the market? I have no idea if it is a valuable bottle or not, but if it is Id rather sell it to someone who would really enjoy it than drink it myself. Thanks!Andy Velebil wrote: ↑14:18 Fri 05 Nov 2021 I’ve had this from one of those weird bottles (they also released it later in regular bottles of which I’ve had more than i can recall)

The biggest issue affecting resale price is how it’s been stored and how long it’s been in bottle. Don’t know where you’re located at but it’s probably not worth the effort to sell one bottle for maybe $100-ishTomwijs wrote:Thanks for your reaction! I do like Port, but im not a fanatic so to say. I have had wonderful Dalva Golden white 1952. I have had mediocre Dalva Golden white 1952. They were probably different bottlings, and none from such a dumpy bottle.
