I thought this was quite intriguing and although crowd-funding isn’t the sort of thing I usually go in for, I’ve “pledged” for a copy. I’d quite like, this year, to broaden my knowledge of Portuguese wines outside the Douro and this seems like a good way in.

Thanks for the welcome. Port, I'm a tawny guy. Anything old and aged is fine by me, though more and more I'm buying older whites. I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to Port and I don't really have a house that I focus on. Living in Porto makes it pretty easy to find hidden gems(at least pre...all this). That said, I love really most Port, as far as Rubies go LBV's are consistently undervalued and if I drink vintage I prefer it after 20 or so years.

So there is a bit about my port habits. But if you want to make me happy bring out an old Colheita or 20yr Tawny and I'm usually pretty happy.

Just a short question about the book. I read it will be beautifully illustrated. Does this mean the photographs (about 80?) are (most ) full-colour?

Great, how did you know? After Poças I started my own hand made one(s)...happy to elaborate, but my main goal is to revive the lost vermouth culture that once stood beside Port wine.

Yes, like in our first book Amber Revolution, all photos are full color and there will be lots(I hope!). Also we just passed our 4th stretch goal, so we're going to have a hand drawn map done by the same guy who made the Port Wine Lodge map we released a few years ago. So super excited about that! Thanks for the question.
