Bethnal Green Working Men's Club

Post by jdaw1 »

Last night was a birthday of friends of the missus. A multiple of ten for both, though everybody was too polite to note which multiple of ten. It was a burlesque, not all in good taste, held at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.

Port on sale: none.

And who was there, other than yours truly? None other than Mimi Avery: behold!

Excellent. I hope Mimi enjoyed hearing about The Book :D

I am even more pleased to see that the JDAW burlesque outfit is the standard JDAW outfit and not something else.

Mimi and I had previously corresponded about the book (p534).

As for my favourite — and only — brushed velvet jacket, it is not a favourite of SWMBO, so is seen only rarely. Further, during its long sojourn in the wardrobe, wicked elvish spells had caused it to shrink, slightly.
