Opened 10pm the previous day, decanted 9am and then into screwcap. 75% opaque. Quite spirity on the nose, hiding such fruit as there may be. In the mouth the spirit does still show but there is some good black fruit. Very pleasant port, probably better in five years, middle-of-the-pack in this horizontal tasting.

A high-toned edge to the nose that doesn’t really develop/resolve and sits on top of the smoky black fruits. Quite a smoky and dense mouthfeel. Grippy still, on the youthful/undeveloped side with a smoky finish. Not top of the pile, but solid in a good way and somewhat typical of SW for me.

65% opacity, dark red. Quite a fresh nose, also a little plummy/jammy. Soft and smooth entry, sweetness, fruits, overripe fruit in fact.

SW94. Dark red, 60% opaque. Earthy, but strawberry too. Large and sweet; dark plum.
