Re: Thursday 23 May 2019: Victoria’s 200th
I'm still waiting for the day that Julian's Welsh Rarebit arrives at the table as a bowl of molten cheese (plus worcestershire sauce and possibly a touch of mustard, of course) with a piece of toast at the bottom!

You are waiting? You! I’m fifty, and still suffering from this teenage dream.
Re: Thursday 23 May 2019: Victoria’s 200th
This would be perfect for me too, but minus the toast.

Hi,
sadly I have to withdraw from Thursday's bash celebrating Victoria's 200th. Tuesday is still on!
Sorry for that!

The food order has been sent to The B&F.
As usual, I’m going to struggle to be early. Please could somebody else volunteer to print the placemats (control-shift-R to force-reload latest — both † and ‡ are on the second page); and also start setup and such decanting as is necessary. Thank you.

I’m unlikely to arrive before 6pm, but can print on Monday and leave the placemats (and my bottle) on Tuesday, if that helps.

I have printed and will leave the placemats at the Boot & Flogger for the first person who arrives on Thursday.

I have left my bottle of Cr 60 at the B&F today, they will decant. I should be there about 6pm.

Derek has generously volunteered to bring a D63: presumably a Queen should not go thirsty. Following which, the placemats have been updated again. Please could somebody print, ideally doing a force-reload control-shift-R to ensure that the version is that time-stamped 20:00 Wed 22 May 2019. Thank you.

I will print the placemats and have them dropped off at the venue, along with my bottle, at around 1330.

It appears to be Quinta do Noval 1963 based on the cork.benread wrote:Port: I'm sure Queen Victoria had many surprises for her people in her reign. So I have one for us! It is a bottle sold to me by Seckford as 'unknown port'. It might be Noval 1960. It might not. Regrettably, I just can't find the bottle of 1878 I was sure I had!
