Good places for vintage port by the glass in Porto and Lisbon?

Post by fredk »

Any recommendations for bars/restaurants that have a good (or decent) selection of vintage port by the glass in Porto and Lisbon? I was in Porto last year, and tawnys and colheitas seemed to offered by the glass almost everywhere, but vintage port less so. I'm going back in a week, this time also spending a few days in Lisbon.

Any recommendations would be appraciated!

I suggest that one place to try would be the Graham Lodge. Last time I was there the Vintage Room and the shop offered a small selection of port by the glass. I think I had Malvedos 1996 in summer last year.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Bacchus Vini in Porto pretty much right next to the Dom Luis I bridge, and Maria Fonseca (the manager) takes good care of us every time we visit!
