NV Ramos Pinto Tawny 30YO

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Drunk at lunch at the Ramos Pinto Lodge.

Crystal clear, a beautiful toffee colour. Some pistachio paste and VA on the nose. Thick texture on the palate with toffee and orange. The flavours are dense and deliver a delicious palate. Big, powerful finish with a great persistence. This is a lovely port, big and sticky with lots of great flavour but not a wine to drink more than 1-2 glasses at a time. 90/100. 23-Jun-17. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
