I opened a G70 from my small stash of almost-perfect G70 bottles last weekend for the same reason; it was fabulous, but I'm sure would not be as good as being there.AHB wrote: ↑15:46 Tue 17 Oct 2017 Unfortunately I can no longer make this evening which, given the theme, I am gutted about. Sorry folks, the Graham 1970 is now needed to console me in my sadness at missing what will be a collection of no doubt fabulous, vintage ports.

If anybody has an adoptable bottle, I might have a guest.
Re: Thursday 2nd November - 1970
No food for me for this gathering thank you. And I am afraid I have no 1970 to offer for adoption Jdaw.
Re: Thursday 2nd November - 1970
Gents, apologies - a bout of Sinusitis and (more troublesome for a Port tasting) a course of antibiotics means that I will not be joining you for this.
Have a great evening.

Re: Thursday 2nd November - 1970
Shame you won’t be able to make it Derek. I hope you are on the mend. Btw, did you notice that was your 15,000th post on the forum?
