NV Quevedo Crusted 2016

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled in 2016, made from a blend of 2013, 2011 and a bit of 2012. Deep red in colour with a very narrow dark purple rim. Very young nose with masive levels of fruit but also some tanky or very young spirit. Smooth in texture on the palate with perfumed fruit and vigorous toasted tannins. Lively and chewy aftertaste and a long blackcurrant finish. Served blind this was guessed to be Quevedo's 2013 vintage port. This crusted port is due to be released in 2019. 86/100. 28-Sep-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
