Tapatalk security breach

An email has come, purportedly from Tapatalk, claiming that it has had a security breach.

So be careful of emails purporting to come from Tapatalk: carefully check links before clicking. Firefox shows the link at the bottom-left of the window; other browsers might require right-click > copy link address > paste into simple text editor.

I received this email at the same time as JDAW. I have since logged into TapaTalk's admin forum (without using the link in the email), changed our password and upgraded to the current stable release of the server-end TapaTalk software. I have tested it on my iPhone and it seems to be working. Please check.

Hopefully our back door has been well and truly closed to naughty business.

Also just received a message from Tapatalk telling me to change my password. How tedious.

Lucky for me I don't use Tapatalk ID.

Even if the original email from TT was genuine, it might be that subsequent emails aren’t. So still be careful.
