Ah I see. I thought that was just to do with functionality regarding the ads.

My phone is running Android 4.2.2 at this point, in case that is relevant.

The server app and the mobile device app are different beasts so presumably not necessarily using the same version number sequence. The version we are running on the site is the most up to date available and the owner's area of Tapatalk.com tells me we are up to date.

I don't live in Belfast, but I am a cricket enthusiast and a Tapatalk user (on two different Android devices - Nexus 4 and Nexus 7).

The latest version is another positive step forward and I find myself using it more often.

Android 4.2.2 is my OS version, which is in no way related to TapaTalk Server 4.0.0 or "Community Reader by Tapatalk 2" version 2.4.13, which is the client version I'm using.

The only issue with Tapatalk on :tpf: is it defaults to the Notification page and not the unread posts. Still trying to figure out how to change that.

Using an Iphone5 (minus the new software upgrade which I may do tonight).

There are very few settings in either the forum admin control panel or the Tapatalk forum owner's area and I can't see anything that would control which page your device should default to when connecting. Does anyone know if this is a device setting and where it can be found?

I have made one change to the settings this morning so please check again that it is working on your devices.

I have found the notifications in Tapatalk very unreliable. Sometimes they work, arriving before an email notification arrives. Sometimes they don't come at all. I have switched off my notifications and switched them on again, in the app and in the Settings. No change.

I find that Tapatalk opens by default in the main forum page (that's to say, with all the tabs listed on the right - unread, participated, timeline etc) unless I am re-opening it just after using it, in which case it opens on the last page viewed.

The Auto Refresh setting seems to control this to some extent.

The setting I changed this morning was to add an "API Key" to the forum settings. This is part of what controls the connection between the forum and the Tapatalk server and, I think, has an influence on push notifications. Let me know if you notice a difference.

I just turned off my email subscriptions in the forum user control panel, in case the notifications from the forum were interfering with those from Tapatalk. I just received a Tapatalk notification of your post ^, after none at all for a good while, so perhaps it's working..

Think I've sorted why. Notifications is first, at the top of the list, when I open Tapatalk in TPF. Unread is 4 rows down. Not sure how to get Unread to the top... :?

Interesting.

The Tapatalk admin site has a facility to send a push notification to all Tapatalk users on the forum. I used that and presumably that is what caused the reaction at your end.

I received seven copies of the notification on my iPhone but no bleeping. Presumably because I have the bleeping turned off.

Happy not to use that feature again if it is too annoying.

My battery is dead. So I imagine I will receive 493 Tapatalk notifications when I recharge it.
