Hopefully not really an option.

We do that every day

I like this one.

We (ie Jdaw) invented the port website T-shirt idea back in 2007 with the F-Plan T-shirts so I don't think we need to repeat that one.

How about we open a bottle of port? Cruz Ruby for the first anniversary? Cheap ruby for our second anniversary?

Failing that, I vote to do nothing since I can't remember when the site started and wouldn't know which of the start dates to celebrate anyway.

 Unless - we celebrate all of them and have a long party of doing nothing! :D

Alex has inspired me...

What about that simultaneous tasting we never got round to?

The Warres 95 LBV was muted...

There's tons of notice to keep the date clear (What is it?) and time to aquire a bottle.

Perfect! We can start drinking at 8pm, and we should be on the verge of singing at 2217hrs. Or at least in hot debate...

If we go with the WLBV95 Virtual Tasting theme we will each be singing in our own homes. How will we keep in tune?

Julian will have a formula, and 14 pages of associated notes and rules, fear not.

I've just noticed that 20th June (or June 20th for our American members) is a Friday so I will most likely be having dinner with my parents, my sister and brotther-in-law and my son. I am sure they will be surprised when I start singing into my laptop

Please, and trust me on this, you don't want Julian involved with anything to do with singing. He has many talents, but singing just ain't one of them. I know more tuneful pebbles.

What do we sing ?
There aren't many WLBV'S in Montréal .
If I start drinking at 8 p.m. , by 10:17 p.m. I should be on the verge of breaking wind . .
Hey , If It's raining , and I'm outside drinking port and I fart , should I wear a Vintage wind breaker
I think I'll consult Alan , regarding proper Vintage windbreaker etiquette . . .

I was going to reply to the post Ghhhhandi quoted, but then saw his entirely accurate comment. It’s bad. It is so bad that the Health & Safety Executive have asked me not to sing in public.

But I can do a formula. (Quiz: what is the connection between a circle and four thirds of one less than root two?)

Surely he needs a gag if the singing is that bad?

And is the answer to the quiz "some mathematical link"?

Isn't four thirds of one less than the root of two the method of drawing a smooth curve. So if you did four of them, you would end up with a circle???

Well, the volume of a sphere is 4/3π(r^3). It's a good start.

How frightening is it that Conky is closest? Tell us more about the method Mr C.

It is not a subject that remotely interests me, but its a typographical method to use pretty sparse information to draw a defined curve. It uses 8 points. I think they call it Cubic Splines, dont they? But I might be making that word up, its been a while.

Now Bog Off!!!!

Oh Golly gosh, splines. One of the most tedious aspects of mathematics, and that is saying something.

I thought mathematics was only invented so that I could keep track of how many port bottles I had in my ownership.

Is it more complex than that?

And, yes, we are off topic.

Are you two minutes late? The first post is labelled “Posted: 16:15 Wed 20 Jun 2007†, where my timezone is GMT-5hr, which would be 21:15 GMT or 22:15 BST.

Not that it helps at all with Conky’s sensible question.

It appears as 21:15 here too.

Not that that advances us any further towards an answer to Conky's sensible question.
