I noticed today that we have amassed 7.500 posts in 2 days short of 6 months. That is a posting average of just over 1250 posts per month

I think this is a remarkable achievement for a Forum that has virtually no threads generated by its creator.

This is a great place to hang out and is definately the place to come if you want good educated discussion on all things Port combined with a sense of fun.

But you are absolutely right.

What proportion of those posts are meaningless drivel?

We are only a few days from 75,000 posts.

Obviously there will be celebrations across the land, street parties, ringing of church bells, and drinking of fine Port.

And I see I contributed 5.5% of them, mostly in Meaningless Drivel.

I was secretly rather pleased that I got the 20000th post in port conversations. Nice to be part of it.

We are only a few posts from the 75000 point on the counter at the bottom of the board index.

I'm going to sleep, but could someone screenshot the page when it happens. Although interestingly the 75,000th post has already been made by Andy V, here .

Deleted posts still increment the post-number counter, but not the post-count counter.
