Olympic flame (7th July)

Talk about anything but keep it polite and reasonably clean.

Olympic flame (7th July)

Post by benread »

Did the flame get a whiff of port today? I guess it travelled very close to some significant stocks at some point today!

Where was it?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

The map suggested (but I didn't read the route details) that it went near Saffron Waldon!

It actually passed within 30 yards of some significant port stock...with Jamie Oliver holding it...I should have got a photograph as the Newport fire engine was also positioned 30 yards away...just in case

Next Friday (19th and also day two of the Oval test unfortunately) it passes within about 500 yards of me. Still not sure if I would rather see the test match or the flame. The weather may make my decision!
