It disturbs me. What is it and why?

The painting is related to the style of Lydos

The figure is painted on the side of a drinking cup, described by the Metropolitan Museum of Art as
Terracotta kylix: lip-cup (drinking cup)
Greek, Attic, black-figure, ca. 550-540 B.C.
Signed by Epitimos as potter. The painting is related to the style of Lydos.
Interior, archer on horseback and warrior dismounting.
Exterior, obverse and reverse, profile heads above, inscription between animals below

Fletcher Fund, 1925 (25.78.4)
I just liked it, and, being on the side of a drinking cup, thought it appropriate.

The old avatar:

represents a tasting mat, and will resume usual service in not too long.

major overhaul of the jdaw1 brand

In a major overhaul of the jdaw1 brand, my avatar has been updated again.

Whilst keeping the old colour scheme, I’ve pruned the margin by a pixel all round and changed the scheme within the circles to something less reliant on texture, larger, and more kinetic. Comments welcomed. Sensible comment not expected.

It looks like Kenny

I like it :D

The right hand circle of the middle row now looks like Kenny from South Park 88)

Thank you for the warning. Fixed.

If you want my port cellar - put it back now!

And I get the cellar if I do?

And I get the cellar if I do? (Assuming I outlive you.)

If you want a cat in hells chance, put it back, please, please, please?

It's the most creative thing you have ever published here. I want it back.

Derek and I will sign a contract, awarding me the remnants of his cellar (on his demise) in return for my toasting him with all bottles of VP; labelling them in correctly-punctuated words written in white-on-black stencil font; and using this avatar.

Should this whole thread be moved to MD?

...but if I die, how will we know who killed Kenny?

Who killed Kenny doesn’t matter.

Who killed Kenny doesn’t matter.

What matters is that, in return for your cellar on your demise, I retain the Kenny avatar for the rest of my born days (or for as long as such avatars are used, whichever is shorter).

There are twenty frames, fifteen seconds apart, so it takes 4¾ minutes to see the whole thing.

Did you make this yourself?

If yes, how did it leap to the top of the priorities list ahead of the declarations database? :?

The screens were taken from one of the best video games ever written: Jet Set Willy II.

By default, posting on the Malvedos blog gave me a pseudo-random computer-generated avatar. Repairing that entailed visiting Gravatar.com, which allows one to have a common avatar across many blogs. But these avatars have to be square. Yikes! So a square SVG avatar was created, intending that the scalability would work well with Gravatar. So far, so good. (That SVG link will lead some browsers to SVG code, some to the picture.)

For consistency of presentation the original objective my previous :tpf: avatar,

was replaced with the square

I think the use of colour brings out your feminine side quite well.

I'm pleased to see a range of colour from youthful purple through to delicate pink. Very inclusive.

It is far too big and far too ugly. You can do something about one of those things.

Someone has talent; very well captured, especially around the eyes and cheeks (though something strikes me as not quite right about the mouth).
DRT wrote:...and I much, much, much prefer to old one.
Erroneous and ambiguous; does this mean "prefer it to the old one" or "prefer the old one"?
