A Riedel gone forever

Talk about anything but keep it polite and reasonably clean.

A Riedel gone forever

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

I broke one of my Riedel port glasses this evening. Always a sad occasion; an accident with an unseen casserole dish in a sinkful of soapsuds.

Please spare a moment and join me in reflecting on the passing of a faithful servant.

A toast is in order: the Riedel is gone. Long live the Riedel.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I raised my daily drinking glass - also a Riedel Vinum Port glass - in honor of its fallen brother this evening. 1991 Dona Matilde Colheita was, as always, properly dispensed.
