01 August - will i be drinking tonight? (and if so, what?)

Talk about anything but keep it polite and reasonably clean.

Hmmm. I might prefer the Ch85 to the G80.

BBC, Live - England v India: ‟India 68-6”. Abstention averted.

Now that the gym session is out though, it would, at this stage, be rather annoying to be left stranded on a Croft LBV!

Possibly Ch85 > G80, though i have not had G80 for well over 18 months and it was one of the first bottles to get me hooked...

Well, having just got back from Spain and watched the highlights from the last day I bet that was a surprise - and very pleasant drinking!
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

It was indeed a surprise, and unfortunately the pop and pour on return from work didn't really do it justice - though the turnaround overnight was every bit as dramatic as India's capitualtion! TN here.

Sitting here, now, with India 56-4 before noon, I wonder whether i should just go ahead and decant a Morgan 1977 now!
