Official Capacity at TPF
On the grounds that SushiNorth wants to be known officially as 'NYC Tasting Coordinator', I think that any member can assign themselves a Title at TPF. I'm sure that Al B could comfortably be 'Official Scribe'; jdaw1 could be 'Administrator in Charge of Corrections'; RonnieRoots 'Chief Executive of Middle East Operations'. But it is up to them to come up with their official title. Sushi can offer an alternative to his other official capacity.
I will be 'Director of Chaos' but reserve the right to change that at the beat of a butterfly's wing.
Please post your preferred title here.
KillerB - Director of Chaos
g-man - Official Searcher of G-Spot and Port Emperor
jdaw1 - Admin
AHB - Keeper of the Records, Vizier of Vesuvio and Port Czar
Glenn E. - Wood Aged Port Advocate

Can I be the Official Searcher of the port forum's G-spot?

I think that titles should be subject to approval. We would not wish to give a disreputable appearance online by permitting spammers; nor should same be permitted offline. Admin (aka, His Holiness Brigadier General Professor Sir Julian Wiseman).

isn't it an offense in GB to take on the title of sir without officially being knighted? =)jdaw1 wrote:I think that titles should be subject to approval. Re: Official Capacity at TPF
While Official Scribe would be perfectly reasonable, I would prefer the formal title of "Keeper of the Records".
Or, alternatively, "Vizier of Vesuvio" or in a wider context, can I be the first to bagsie the title of "Port Czar"

Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

ohh Port Czar, I like that,
I'll be the Port Emperor.
I'll be the Port Emperor.

I think my title should reflect my bias toward wood-aged Ports. Suggestions?

Given the term "wood" can have different connotations in the USA I would suggest great care in asking Brits for help in choosing such a title!Glenn E. wrote:I think my title should reflect my bias toward wood-aged Ports. Suggestions?

I was thinking something along the lines of Wood Aged Port Advocate.

I did consider that as Director of Chaos I could become Lord Mandelbrot but I wouldn't want to get confused with that other fella.

This sounds great. But it could also be "Believer in Fata Morganas" or "Roepende in de Woestijn".KillerB wrote:RonnieRoots 'Chief Executive of Middle East Operations'.
