No. And after then.

And after then.

The range 1816 to 1839 should be solvable by interval bisection in only a few guesses.

Given Mike's guess, we're clearly going with tri-section first ;)

The Code of Health and Longevity, 1818, Sir John Sinclair, has numerous tiresome admonitions about eating little, exercising plenty, and wearing a wig, but also some solid advice on the drinking of a moderate quantity of wine, plus remarking that “… the connoisseurs. Among such, tawny port was once a fashionable treat …”. And explains that rhubarb cures gout — who knew?

In 1819 his friend, Sir I. Knewit subsequently proved that it was the custard, not the rhubarb.

Since the end of the second world war, there are only three years for which I currently own one, but only one, bottle of vintage port.
Which years are they? (only answers proposing three years allowed)

1962 and 1967. (And another year for which you haven’t noticed the second bottle, or haven’t noticed that you drank the only bottle.)

Invalid guess; three years must be specified. If you really want to guess only two years (or even one), there are obvious ways within the rule.

I claim the ancient rite yada-yada-yada...

Alex, aka AHB, claims that his favourite port of 2016 is a Taylor 94. However he has scored another port a little higher. Which is it?
