Don't go. We need you Alex. I could post a picture of a dachshund dressed as a minion if this will help leaven the bread of these stodgy posts.

Tweet of the Day is indeed an excellent programme. I've stayed with Chris Watson at Aldeburgh. He was recording everything. However I prefer his work with Cabaret Voltaire.

I would suggest we begin with The History of Sexuality vol. 1.

Yes!! That's what we need. Let's have pictures of dogs dressed as minions, preferably dogs named after famous philosophers just to keep the tone up.

And Socrates looks very thoughtful and lovely. I had a jack russell called Hegel once. I will try to look out a picture of him.

Socrates looks fairly unimpressed. The dachshunds seems to be taking it well in their stride.

You never hear about Schrodinger's dog. Perhaps his earlier experiments had a lower survival rate; at least the cat had a 50/50 chance - to begin with, at least.

How do you know that the dog wasn't in the box with the cat?

Is Schrodinger's cat the new question?

I suppose we would never know.

Or perhaps not. Perhaps there is another thread starting on some other forum as we read this one.

But we wouldn't know whether or not that was true unless we opened the thread we didn't know about.

The thread is dead. Long live the thread!

Could the admins please close this thread to further posts, so that we can now admire it in its fullness? (That wasn't a quiz question.)

That would require an admin to look at the thread, which could cause sufficient uncertainty so as to cause the thread to reopen. Is that what you wanted?

Hmmm? There are really only two possible answers and if I choose the right one it means it's my turn

On Christmas Day I received five bottles of malt whisky as gifts.

Name three of them.

This is a wild guess... 2 x Lagavulin 16, a Talisker 10 and an Aberlour 12 ?

It's just a guess to get us started.

From the unhappy face, I am guessing it wasn't...

Laphroaig
Talisker
Port Askaig

And so may have been...

Glen Moray
Glen Grant
Morrisons Signature Distiller's choice

I knew you would fall into the trap, you being the only person I told on the day or since.

Your turn.
