It's Friday night, it's all gone quiet

Talk about anything but keep it polite and reasonably clean.

I'm watching the Arctic Monkeys at Glastonbury now. Missing the mud by watching on telly.

Ooops - Nelson. Why am I saying this with only a Scotsman and a Canadian on-line?

bman,

In case you don't know, Glastonbury is the modern day equivalent of the Medieval Pagan Rituals that Englishman have indulged in for millenia - Drewid Mud Baths, Moris Dancing, Dancing Around the Maypole, Well Dressing*, Cricket etc.

What they do now is congregate in a muddy field, remove all of their clothing, take drugs and play "guess who's sleeping bag I'm in tonight?"

I now can't remember what it was that I thought was wrong with this when I started typing :?

Derek

* Well Dressing = putting decorations around the village Well - it does not imply that Englishmen have good taste in clothing

Derek,

I maybe wrong, but what Alex was wasting his type on, was the shout of Nelson!
Thats 111 runs at Cricket. David Shepard used to hop on one leg until they got the next run. I again presume Alex hit 111 Posts. And as he said, why tell a Scotsman and a Canadian! Even though both your countries entered teams into the recent World Cup.
Mind you, that whole tournament was Murder!!!

Alan

PS. Wasn't down the Pub. Was drinking wine wit Debs and reminding her how she got 5 numbers and the bonus ball, when she met me. l

Not Much happening on the Saturday, either. I could have been in Vegas watching Hatton fight. The tickets were 4 rows from the ring and an invite to the after fight party, but I couldn't affotd it. So I'm sat in with the kids tucked up, and a glass of chardonnay, wondering whether to Open a Morgans!

Ah, back for a lazy sunday look at the board. Sipped some of the Vargellas 1995 that I opened last monday. Still going strong and pretty darn good with that still enormous chunk of Stilton. 88)

There's so much you can do with Stilton, I'm sure you will get through it.
