Meeting up with Francesca

Talk about anything but keep it polite and reasonably clean.

Meeting up with Francesca

Post by PhilW »

Damn, I must be feeling port-starved. I just received a spam email with the subject line "Meeting up with Francesca" which I glanced at, having mis-read the subject line as "Meeting up with Fonseca" - how disappointed I was when I realised my mistake! I think there might be some vintage port opened this weekend, despite the warm weather.

I'm currently drinking a 2011 VP from Ferreira, straight from the fridge. Really rather nice.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

And I have just decanted a Fonseca 70, an Irish bottling, which at D+1hr is utterly fantastic - possibly one of the best F70s I've tasted. Steak soon, with cheese and biscuits to follow, including some Montagnolo Affine. It's going to be a good evening :)
