What joy to find that someone else enjoyed Blaauwklippen!
I used to buy their cab sauv. It was a pungent wine; had an odd cigar smoke finish. The wine maker was even more incomprehensibly named than his wine. I think something befell him and others took over his winery.
A good snort, nevertheless, and one I no longer see in this country.

It may be drivel, but it's not meaningless.

The ports go from Gould Campbell 1985 via Graham's 1948 to Royal Oporto 1815. That’s quite a range.

I'm actually surprised at how few of them are port corks - I'll have to try to make more effort to extract them intact and add them to the basket. Things are in alphbetic order (or at least, they're meant to be).
And the Blaauwklippen was the Cab Sauv. It was drunk with about 15 years of age and was absolutely fabulous. My note ended with "Gorgeous - well worth repeating if I can find any more".
