Hello and welcome to TPF. Good question about pronunciation, which I second.
And please do tell us something of your experience of port: favourite, oldest, best, something.

Hello vodo,
Enjoy yourself here, it's fun. My only knowledge of Puget Sound is based on a song by Ian Gillan - I think it's on the Mr Universe album. This is, of course, totally irrelevant.
Cheers,
Alex
Port is basically a red drink

Welcome Mr. Vodo (just in case it's pronounced like Frodo )! I hope you'll have a good time on this forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Vodo like Frodo!
I got started with local Washington port style wines and then moved up to true vintage ports. My cellar of vintage ports ranges from '63 to '00.
My wife and I love the '77 Grahams although our stock is getting low!

Hello vodo, and welcome
Any time not spend drinking port, is a waste of time.
