Currently on offer in Waitrose at around £27 instead of £37.

!and a splendid drop it is too. I found it to be much smoother than the 10yr old, which JDAW once correctly described to me as "a bit too dirty".

The Marks & Spencer own-label BOB tastes just like Laphroaig.

Yes, the Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Aged 12 Years. Though the glass of my bottle is greener than that.

Also saw this very recently at an Indian restaurant! Though I wasn't in a position to try it at the time, I noted the very high ABV even for a cask-strength and thought "probably gimmick", but the reviews on masterofmalt.com seem pretty positive; I may have to try just to see.

Lovely stuff - bought my brother a bottle of it a few years back. Amrut means 'nectar' (and my mum's name was Amrita, from the same root). Very peaty; the first really good Indian whisky I ever tried.

EDIT: I notice no mention of peatiness in the link posted - so perhaps ours was an earlier style since discarded / revised.

The description mentions "tarry" and the TNs at the bottom mention peat.
