CAMRA Pub of the year nomination

Post by benread »

One of the four pubs nominated by CAMRA for pub of the year is very close to our favoured meeting place, The Crusting Pipe. For those real ale lovers amongst you who need a cleansing ale sometimes to help with the port consumption, you may care to try The Harp, Chandos Place, Covent Garden, WC2N 4HS.

I've been there a couple of time and never, I'm afraid, quite seen what the fuss about it is. Is it really that much better than the Nell Gwynne or the Lyceum Tavern? Perhaps I've been missing something...

Good beer; nice boozer; tiny and so far too crowded.
