1943 Chateau Gachon
Deep brown colour with a hint of chestnut. Old and volatile on the nose, vinegary with oxidation. Sour and vinegary on the palate, stewed and dried out. Lots of tannins of the dry charcoal variety. Stewed apples on the finish and a great length. Not wholly revolting, but such a shame. 70/100. Drunk 15-Apr-15.

1943 Chateau Gachon: nose oxidised. Palate light and too acidic. Not good.
