1947 Chateau la Dominique

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Dark red, chestnut in hue. Opaque at the centrebut transparent on the rim. Horribly smelly on the nose, really unpleasant. Stewed balsamic vinegar on the palate. Really revolting, oxidised and volatile. N/S. Drunk 15-Apr-15.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

1947 Château la Dominique: very very oxidised. Undrinkable.
