2012 Chryseia

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red with a purple edge. Hollow nose with some vague hints at lavender and dried thyme. Fruity entry, but rather one-dimensional. A lovely blueberry fruit to the flavour profile and terrific chocolate tannins. Sour cherry finish, mixed in with chewy tannins. 92/100. Drunk 24-Feb-15.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
