1995 Chateau Batailley

A nice soft nose with a hint of vanilla. Big and full in the mouth and very smooth. Black fruits dominate the early palate followed by a huge wave of dry powdery tannins. This is a big wine with a long future ahead but I can't help thinking that at 20 years old it should perhaps be starting to mellow into a more approachable phase.

Perhaps a tad more time in the decanter would have been a good idea?

Was it finished at 00.00.02 or is there any left?
