2002 Château du Tertre
D+0h: cork feels like rubber when I put the helix of the corkscrew in, no wonder, the cork is soaked through by two-thirds, there is some deposit in the tea filter I always use (not much though), smells strongly of blackberry, D+2h: dark as ink, smells of forest ground (at 1,45 h it smelled slightly of blackberry and of smoke), blackberry in the mouth, full body, very smooth/silky, no harsh tannins, not too dry (but far from sweet) with a tiny, tiny dash of residual sugar that is quite pleasant, in the aftertaste there is blackberry and smoke, the smoke lingers on the tongue in the end, good length (30 sec), quite a tasty claret, will buy this one again.
