Christmas Bordeaux

Post by flash_uk »

I see both Christies and Sotheby's have large quantities of Bordeaux at auction next week. I have not tried Bordeaux very often and was considering picking something up to try over the Christmas period.

Would anyone be interested in sharing a case of something? I'd be happy to be steering towards something, as my knowledge of these wines is quite imperfect. I was thinking of something in the 1985 - 2001 range, left bank.

I'll have a look at the catalogues now. That much you can do with the flu.

Sotheby's:

Lots 892, 1024 & 1163 are interesting. Angludet or Chasse Spleen. Happy to split one or two of these, two or three ways.

Christie's looks a bit fully priced / too many mixed lots.
