Drunk at the Loosen winery with Ernest Loosen and Sales Manager Désirée Schröder on 13th August 2014.
The delightful acidity is still keeping this balanced; although a sweet wine, it's not at all overdone, not unctuous. This is better balanced than the Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett.
Ernest Loosen told us that he had been experimenting with leaving wines on their lees for very long periods of time, the oldest currently having lain in barrel on the skins for 24 years.

I found this note in my little black book: "more acidity than the Kabinett we tasted, also has a much nicer body, surely better than the Kabinett"
