Drunk at the Haag winery with Oliver Haag on 12th August 2014.
One of the Haag 'Grosse Lage' or Grand Cru wines, as per the VDP's 'quality pyramid'. Botrytised, as shown by the gold-coloured capsule on the bottle. This is immediately sweeter than the rest of the Haag range (AW77 says not crudely so). Very full and buttery, pleasant apple acids giving fresh balance in the finish, which is deliciously long and juicy.

Re: 2013 F Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Auslese Goldka
My little black book says: full body, more fruit than the standard Auslese, not that sweet (probably due to the noble rot that affected some of the grapes that were used for this wine as Oliver Haag told us), also has more acidity than the standard Auslese
