Drunk at the Haag winery with Oliver Haag on 12th August 2014.
The Kabinett in Haag's 'village wine' ('Ortswein' or Premier Cru) range, in the middle of the VDP's 'quality pyramid' between the estate wines ('Gutsweine') and the Grand Crus. Picked when the grapes are fully ripe but not as ripe as for a Spätlese.
A vegetable mouth, sweetness growing gradually with subdued acidity, still clean but with some delicious fruitiness. More noteworthy than the 2013 vintage.

My little black book says: less mineral than the feinherb Brauneberger Riesling Kabinett tasted alongside, but more fruity (probably due to the higher amount of residual sugar), quite good
