Thisarticle, is in todays Daily Telegraph. Lets hope it not something that spreads to the world of Port!

A rather lame article founded on a vested interest's press release...
Yes, there have been some sharp rises in the price of top Bordeaux, but only in the dizzy heights of the 'too expensive to drink' sector.
Globally, the world is awash with wine, and the increasing use of technology that takes some of the guesswork out of wine-making means that the quality is steadily on the rise, particularly at the bottom end of the market.
Consequently, the number of people who can tell the difference between a £7 bottle from Tesco and a top classed growth is shrinking..
On the port front we've seen some loopy prices paid of late, but so far they look sporadic - there are probably one or two newbies on the scene who are not doing their homework.
Overall though, the number of people buying port at auction is very small - the top couple of dozen buyers are responsible for most purchases, and the 2000's are struggling to find buyers.
See how the autumn auction season kicks off in September..

Well , over here in Québec there was an article in a french daily stating that the SAQ is in the process of lowering the prices of over 300+ wines .
No mention of Port . With the cdn $ getting stronger , the SAQ can import more wine from Europe , more Port as well ,
However , something tells me , there won't be a significant lowering of prices ( the SAQ's raison d'être is to make cash . . . )
