Bought as an experiment: see what happens if you keep low-mid level Aussie Shiraz for several years beyond when it is normally drunk. Young this has a fairly sharp acidity but this has actually turned into the the classic fruit-bomb. Dark cherry with a surprising amount of sediment. Nose of army and navy tablets but in the mouth it's all blackcurrants and cherries.
Errmmmm... this works as a slightly aged wine. I have more and will leave a few for further aging to see what happens when it gets to about 10. I'm rather pleased.
