Bottled late 1970s (JNV selo). Clear golden brown with an orange rim. VA mercifully not too high. On the nose, extremely nutty. Long and full on the palate, with a minutes-long finish. An great example of what Tinta Negra Mole can produce in the right hands and with the right level of ageing- I have had TNMs from the Visconde de Torre Bella from the early 1950s that were this good, but not many others. It should be recorded that, blind, AHB not only guessed the grape and the producer, but also that it had has at least a couple of decades of ageing before bottling; genuinely impressive. Tasted 21/05/19.
