Clear ruby color through out, no signs of bricking.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle considering my past experience with the Barca Velha where I find them tired, dirty and thin.

This had a delicate nose of rose water, lemon oils and a touch of lavender.
The palate was surprisingly mid weighted showing clean bing cherry notes, complexity of dried leather, earthy dried soil that lingers on the finish with hints of cranberries and ground coriander.

The purity of the fruit makes you salivate for the next sip.

A surprisingly well made wine that is beginning to show hints of maturity.
