1983 Chateau Musar

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Big on the nose with dusty ash and lots of fruit. The fruit is sweet and beautifully balanced. A gorgeous and exquisite mature red wine. 94/100.

Drunk at the 2016 Doty Cup.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Alex,
I have a 1984 Musar, the mythical "never produced" vintage. I've not had one yet but I hear it is quite good. I will try and keep my sticky fingers off of it until we meet and can share it.

It would be great to try it. Thanks!
