2002 Pol Roger Cuvee Winston Churchill

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Straw yellow with a touch of gold. A delicious nose of warm brioche and warm corn. Heavy on the palate, full of toast but with a wonderful lemon acidity and a long finish. Nice layering on the long finish. 91/100. Drunk 24-Nov-15. Pop 'n' pour.

Drunk at Otto's on 24 November 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I've got some 2002 and some 2004 and I can't make up my mind which is better! I'm eagerly awaiting the next vintage as it's supposed to be outstanding

Crisp, dry, and lovely. Excellent bubble texture.
