1985 Chateau Palmer

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red with an opaque centre. A glorious nose full of dried cranberries and fresh flowers. Nice texture, rich mid-palate with a good balance from the combination of powerful tannins and sweet fruit core. The sweet fruit dominates the slightly chewy finish. Enjoyable wine. 88/100. Drunk 24-Nov-15. Pop 'n' pour.

Drunk at Otto's on 24 November 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Very fresh, very acidic. Lime citrus, and lots of spice.
