Lovely acid nose, astringent, dried beef, leather, cigar ash, violets, smoky.
Entry is light to medium, but the body grows in the mid palate - acid dominates, very dry; a little beefy in the background with tobacco; velvety, and a little smoky in the finish. Young fruit - floral, currants - in the mix also, and some powdery (but not obtrusive) tannin. This was drinking well but will definitely get better; it's only beginning to open out.
