Coates & Seely - 20% Discount for TPF Members

Post by DRT » 09:16 Thu 09 Apr 2020

A few days ago I received the email below from Nicholas Coates offering 20% discount to members of their "Friends of Coates & Seely" loyalty scheme. This offer has now been extended to members of The Port Forum as "Friends of Friends of Coates & Seely" 88)

For those who are not aware, the Seely in the company name is Christian Seely, Managing Director of Quinta do Noval.

If you want to order any of these fabulous wines please contact Tristram Coates using the contact details below and let him know you are from The Port Forum in order to benefit from this special discount.

Please note that Coates & Seely deliver only within the UK.

I have a financial interest in the offer — I’ve just bought a dozen bottles at this discounted price. These really are fabulous wines that I can’t recommend highly enough. Grown on the chalk hills of north Hampshire, made from the three leading Champagne grape varieties and matured in bottle before being released.

Normally these wines are sold to the on-trade and only a small number of private customers, but in these strange times…

I have just read Tristram's email again and he says "We are happy to extend the offer to ‘friends of friends’ too, so please feel free to forward it on to other wine lovers."

If anyone here is part of other wine groups or forums please feel free to make other wine lovers aware to this offer. :FF9999:

No shipping to the USA :( When this is over, guess I'll have to come over there :)

DRT has suggested that since I have a tasting note on the Rosé wine being offered, I should share it with people here:

Coates & Seely NV Rosé: shrimp pink with a very fine mousse. Wonderful soft red fruit nose. Beautiful palate; balanced with slightly sweet fruit— delicious mouthfilling fruit. Fabulous aftertaste and an amazing finish of great length. Very, very good wine. 94/100. Drunk 06-Mar-2020.
