'What?' - After the Berry Bros & Rudd Port Walk, 28 Nov 2013

Post by djewesbury »

After the BBR Port Walk, some people still felt thirsty. We arrived at the Bung Hole in time to eat some steak burgers and open some bottles that were wrapped in tinfoil.

Quevedo 2010 was also drunk.

Some interesting wines - pleasantly surprised by the Crasto, the Cabral was very intriguing, i think i had guessed Noval 78 as something more illustrious, and the G77 was good (albeit not G70 or F77 standard). The current Ck 20yr is vastly preferable to these old bottles.

Thanks Derek for some interesting claret as well.

I have entirely forgotten drinking Qv10! The mind plays such tricks!

Qv10 added to the list but no TN link added (AHB had already left by this stage). I am informed that we all guessed it as a 2011.

Fun! I tasted the Qv10 before it was fermented. I'd love to try it again now that it is proper Port!
