The Port Forum Offline #1: Return of the Roots

Post by DRT »

I had the pleasure of sharing dinner and a few beers with Lord and Lady Roots on the evening after the Offline on 18th July 07.

It was great to see them again so soon after the event and to enjoy the stories of how fabulously healthy we had all felt the next day. Ronnie had great difficulty explaining how it was that he had managed to call me at 08:00 that morning whilst still half asleep in bed nursing a hangover. We will probably never know how he managed it

Lady Roots had obviously had a very long and tiring day at her training course and was more interested in food than beer. I have to say I felt much the same myself.

We had a great time reminding each other of some of the missing details of the evening and I look forward to meeting them again soon.

Thanks for another enjoyable evening

Funny how we didn't really care for wine anymore that day...

The beers tasted good and it was good fun trying to reconstruct the end of the evening and the beginning of the day after. Until next time Derek!
