Is that where they made the TV series "The 7 Nights of Arabia"?

I thought that was made in a TV studio in Birmingham?

Dubai is a short flight of about 30 minutes, or a stiff 5-6 hour drive. But apparently, it's quite common to drive up to Dubai for the weekend. We already have one appointment booked there.

Abu Dhabi is about the same distance (but I'm not quite sure about that). There is a very good chance that we'll be going there as well, as Abu Dhabi is the only host of an IKEA in the entire Middle East.

SSD: I've made a promise to myself: never ever drink that evil Mexican stuff again. And thanks for the kind words. But what is the wedding-day debacle? As I remember it, we had a great night, and it meant a lot to us that you were able to be there.

Very good. Jo and I have discussed the possibility of a trip to Dubai as soon as Virgin stump up with a decent points + pounds deal. Roots, be en guarde for a visit

To the border of Oman maybe, but not to the capital, Muscat. Unfortunately.

Well, I'm off to bed. I must say that I really enjoyed this on/offline, and I will try to persuade LadyR to post some of her thoughts on the Niepoort tomorrow. She went to bed early tonight (only had a small sip of the port) because she still felt the pains of a pub crawl yesterday.

Elizabeth is making huffy noises that mean that I too have pushed my time to its end.

It's been fun and I'm glad that I used this as an opportunity to open and try the Martinez '94, the more I drink of it the more I enjoy it.

I hope you have a great time in Oman. Try and make it back to Europe around mid-December so that you can pop over to the UK to attend the TPF Christmas offline since last year was so much fun.

All the best.
