A few of us gathered in the B&F to do the obvious, sighted. Perhaps a photograph of the glasses will be used on the cover of The Book.

A splendid evening.

We started — well, more accurately Phil started — by taking what I hope will be the cover photograph of the book, being six glasses of Vintage Ports of various hues.

And it was a delight to see Phil sufficiently recovered to join us. Hurray!

And then the Ports. One of the first Ports that I tasted was the Cr60, it was one of the best Ports I’ve had this year. Which is why it won my second place.

At AHB’s request the cork of the unlabelled purported SW63 was pushed in. Late in the evening it was bagged out, and clearly showed SW66.
