A little late, for which I apologise, but might I suggest that you use small sticky labels if space will be tight? We find these work well at the Bell, so why not at the B&F?

That could be done. Any dissent?

Daniel is correct.

My Mum has given me a note and I have been asked to host a whisky tasting at The Boot & Flogger so have no choice but to attend.

Does the paperwork need amending? (Inspect it carefully.)

6 attendees and 3 bottles of port. Is it just me or can anyone else spot a problem looming?

Should be ok - JDAW and DRT are on strict diets.

An excellent back-up plan.
I’ve not had six pints in the George since, err, Monday.

Can we bring our own? Or should we just keep ordering off the list?

One of the three on the placemat is our own. Is that a problem?

A drink off the list at the Boot & Flogger, Dec 16

Post by djewesbury »

My intention has been not to scare the horses at the B&F. We only have a table for 4 at present. As noted upthread, I intend to call in or ring on Tuesday morning to pay for the two bottles off the list and ask for them to be decanted (what time please?).
I will then ask very politely about corkage. If there is a problem I will inform those who need to know. I do not anticipate a problem however. Such is the reservoir of my charm.
If the answer to the question about corkage is a good one, then I suggest that we bring more than one if those attending feel the need. I know that Ian is no longer able to attend so we are only 6.
Don't panic.

Placemat maker - please note updated list in first thread. No IDJ, add RAB.

Dow 1970 double decanted and re-corked at 10:15 on 15th Dec prior to traveling to London. Smells lovely, not tasted.

I thought it better than shaking up the crust on the way to London. Dow 70 is sturdy stuff so should cope.

Who can print to stickies?

There is now a better than 50% chance that I will be able to be there. If I can, I will buy the Ck63 off the list.

I think I can print to stickies.

This is a highly mobile situation. We will miss you entirely this week Julian. This is bad news. But we hope fervently that Alex will make it.
