Thu 27 November - Berry Brothers Port Walk
Re: Thu 27 November - Berry Brothers Port Walk
Thanks Alex. I will also have a +1. I don't know who that is yet. Maybe I'll see if I can discover someone who is a member of the O&C!

We have two members, so can book two tables - which is what we now need to do since we are more than 8.flash_uk wrote:Thanks Alex. I will also have a +1. I don't know who that is yet. Maybe I'll see if I can discover someone who is a member of the O&C!

No, no, go ahead, save yourselves. Me and Andre will dress as urchins and press our noses to the glass with wonderment at the feast. Although a bit early in the year perhaps a flake of snow will twinkle in our eyelashes, stirring pity from those within.djewesbury wrote:We have two members, so can book two tables - which is what we now need to do since we are more than 8.flash_uk wrote:Thanks Alex. No need. We can have two tables and so can accomodate up to 16 for dinner.LGTrotter wrote:No, no, go ahead, save yourselves. And there is a reason why the Dining Room is on the first floor. The windows are out of reach of most Dickensian urchins.

Thursday is still sold out and Friday only has 3 tickets available.
If anyone lives near Basingstoke, there are still 11 tickets for the Hampshire port tasting on 21 November.
Is this the final list for dinner? If so, we'll take two tables of 5. I'll book the tables in September when the holiday season is over.

2) DRT
3) Flash_uk
4) AW77
5) LG Trotter - in smock casual apparel, with jacket and tie

9) AJH (Alun)
10) Mike's +1 (to be advised in due course)
11) JDAW
12) CMAG
13) CMAG's +1 (to be advised in due course)

Re: Thu 27 November - Berry Brothers Port Walk
I need to reduce the number of Port nights I currently have lined up for November/December so have decided to withdraw from this.
Does anyone want to buy my ticket (£85) for Thursday 27th?
If there are no takers by the end of this week I will return it to BBR.

Have you done this without any prompting? Or have you been life-coached?DRT wrote:I need to reduce the number of Port nights I currently have lined up for November/December so have decided to withdraw from this.

Yes, I think we've all been overdoing it actually. You could reduce your port intake by using a spitoon for the more simple stuff or you could just meet Owen at the club that we are visiting after the port walk.
